S.I.S.T.A.S.  SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The SISTAS EDUCATION FUND is a not for profit charity under the Federal guidelines.  All donations are tax deductible.  This is funded and supported by the contribution of attendees to our events, and fundraiser.

The purpose of the fund is to serve as a supplemental resource for women who are attending or accepted to a college or univeristy.  The fund provides qualified applicants with funds to cover school expenses,  personal or professional development and  entrepreneurial development or expansion endeavors.  Scholarships are awarded to  graduating Black African American high school seniors and women in the areas of educational advancement, professional/personal development and Entrepreneurship.

EDUCATION FUND NOMINATION  BASIC CRITERIA

•  Nominee must be AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE  others ethnicities my apply.  Prioty allocation will be given to those that meet the specifications.
• Nominee should have completed a minimum of 40 hours of verifiable community service
• Three (3) letters of recommendation
•  Submitt typed essay " 500 words. ( Topic details given in application packet)
• Presentation of future goals/dreams (details given in application )
• Complete and return application by March 20, 2010
• Awardees must Attend Evening of Elegance April 10, 2010
